Hola
It's me, Joanna
I’m a designer and art director, an artist and educator, a mother and mentor, a co-founder, a partner, a wannabe musician, and a student of ancestral medicine. I wear many hats, and I’m always open to learning more.

The Designer
Curiosity has been the constant thread in my life. Over the past 17 years, I’ve worked as a designer, brand manager, and art director—primarily within tech and startup spaces.
The Visual Storyteller
Supporting companies and organizations in these sectors is my sweet spot. I help them shape and strengthen their visual voice through brand development, creative direction, team growth, and mentoring.

The Learner
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with brilliant people—whether building design teams from the ground up or working solo. The lessons I’ve gathered from the startup and tech worlds have left a lasting impact, shaping not just my work, but the way I see growth and possibility.
The Artist
I’m deeply committed to creating positive change, and that shows up in everything I do. Whether through art or education, my goal is to spark joy, encourage reflection, and leave the world a little brighter.
The Art Teacher
I believe we are all artists, and I want others to believe it too. Teaching workshops for children and their caregivers has been one of my greatest joys—opening doors to self-expression, creative play, and emotional healing.
The Co-founder
Right after graduating, my husband, a few equally adventurous friends, and I started a design studio. Seventeen years later, that small project has grown into WeLAB, an international entertainment company. Today we’re animators, illustrators, VFX artists, researchers, and producers—a creative hub where innovation thrives and imagination has no limits.

Let's Chat
That’s me in a nutshell—but of course, there’s always more beneath the surface. Want to connect? I’d love to chat. (And yes, I’ll happily share my favourite Mexican cooking recipes, too.)

Thank you!
A response is on its way, I promise. And if you asked for it, a Mexican recipe will be attached.
